About Us

We understand parenting is difficult and we want to offer tools to alleviate stress, answer questions, and help you create a nurturing and healthy atmosphere for your child. Child safety starts with education - anyone can be a good parent with the right tools.
 
The death of Jovonie Ochoa, a four year old boy starved to death by his grandmother, shook our community to the core, and sparked me to form the Blue Ribbon Task Force. My vision is to combine local community leaders, organizations and volunteers to form a coalition to advocate for children, offer parental support, and educate the public about the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
 
Now, we are many members strong and our voices reach across the state through billboards, posters, literature, radio and television ads, and community events.
 
Our goal is to provide a haven for parents to get much needed support, and ultimately develop a safe world for all children – free from abuse and neglect.
